Procore Alternative: Jobtable vs Procore
Last updated 1 September 2026. Procore does not publish pricing, so nothing on this page quotes a Procore price as fact.
Procore is enterprise construction management software for general contractors and owners running commercial projects. It does not publish pricing, charging an annual fee by product based on your Annual Construction Volume, and it includes unlimited users. Jobtable is $59/month for 3 users, additional users $10, and covers quotes, scheduling, job costing, change orders, progress billing and daily logs. These are not the same category of product, and for a large commercial GC Procore is the correct answer.
Why contractors look for Procore alternatives
Almost nobody arrives here because Procore is a bad product. It is very good at what it does. They arrive because they asked what it costs, got a number tied to their annual construction volume, and could not make it work against a business doing residential remodels or service calls.
The second reason is fit. Procore is built around drawings, RFIs, submittals, punch lists and subcontractor prequalification. On a commercial job those are the whole game. On a bathroom renovation or a panel change they are not workflows that exist, and paying for modules nobody opens is worse than paying too much.
How much does Procore cost?
Procore does not publish a price. Its pricing page explains the model without giving you a figure: an upfront annual fee, charged by product, based on your Annual Construction Volume, meaning the aggregate dollar value of the work you run through the platform. There is no rate card, no calculator and no way to sign up without talking to sales.
You will find plenty of third-party estimates. They are worth reading with suspicion. Published figures for the same product range from roughly $4,500 a year to well over $100,000, and several sites present reconstructed numbers as though they were Procore's own. If a page tells you exactly what Procore costs, it is guessing.
What can be said with confidence is the shape of it. Pricing scales with construction volume rather than headcount, users are unlimited, contracts are annual, and implementation is a separate cost on top of the subscription. If you want a number, the only reliable source is a quote with your own volume in it.
Jobtable takes the opposite approach for a straightforward reason: at our size, publishing the price is the fastest way for someone to work out whether we are a fit. $59/month for 3 users, $10/month for each user after that, on the website, no call required.
Where Procore is the better choice
This is the one page in this set where the honest answer is that a lot of readers should buy the other product. Procore is not overpriced for the company it is built for. If the following describes you, we are not a serious alternative and you should not treat us as one.
Choose Procore if
- You are a commercial general contractor or an owner's rep, and RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions and punch lists are the daily work.
- You run substantial annual construction volume and the subscription is a rounding error against the cost of rework it prevents.
- You need dozens of people in the system, including subcontractors and architects. Unlimited users is a real advantage and per-seat pricing stops making sense at scale.
- You need subcontractor prequalification, bid management or a document trail that will hold up in a dispute.
- You have the appetite for a proper implementation, with a budget line and someone owning the rollout.
Choose Jobtable if
- You asked Procore for a quote and the number ended the conversation.
- You are a specialty trade or a small GC, and drawings and submittals are not how your jobs run.
- You want to know what software costs before speaking to anyone.
- You bill in draws, issue change orders and keep daily logs, but you do not need an enterprise document control system around them.
- You want to be running by this afternoon rather than after an implementation project.
- Your crew is small enough that $10 a seat beats an unlimited-user contract you cannot get priced.

What is missing from that table is the half of Procore we do not attempt at all: drawing and plan management, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, bid management and subcontractor prequalification. If those words describe your week, stop reading and go talk to Procore.
Who built it
Jobtable did not start life as a software product. It started as an internal tool inside a plumbing company that two of our co-founders still run today. They built it because what they were paying for did not match how the work actually happened, and they ran the business on it while it grew from two people to more than thirty. It only became something we sold after other contractors asked to use it.
That history is also why we are not trying to be Procore. The company it was built inside runs residential and light commercial work, so the product solves those problems and stops there.
Switching from Procore to Jobtable
We handle the migration for you and we do not charge for it. Your clients, quotes, jobs and invoices come across, including the line items inside them. You pull the exports out of Procore, send them over, and we load everything into your account for you to check before your contract ends.
One thing to plan around. Drawings, RFI threads and submittal records have no equivalent in Jobtable, so export and archive those separately while you still have access. Procore contracts are annual and auto-renew, so give yourself room before the renewal date rather than discovering the notice period after it has passed.
What contractors say after switching
Frequently asked questions
How much does Procore cost?
Procore does not publish pricing. Its own pricing page states that cost depends on the products you need and the amount of construction you do, charged as an upfront annual fee by product and based on your Annual Construction Volume. There is no public rate card, no calculator and no self-serve checkout, so the only way to find out is a sales call. Third-party estimates circulate widely but disagree with each other by an order of magnitude, which tells you how little they are worth.
Does Procore charge per user?
No, and this is a genuine advantage of its model. Procore includes unlimited users rather than charging per seat. If you have fifty or sixty people who all need access, that structure can work out better than per-seat pricing. Jobtable charges $59/month for 3 users and $10/month for each user after that, which is cheaper for a small crew and worth doing the arithmetic on if your headcount is large.
Is Procore good for small contractors?
Procore is built for general contractors and owners running commercial projects, where RFIs, submittals, drawings and prequalification matter. Those workflows do not exist on a residential remodel or a six-person plumbing company, and the Annual Construction Volume pricing model is designed around firms with substantial volume. If you are a specialty trade or a small GC, you are unlikely to get a quote you would accept, and most of what you paid for would go unopened.
What is a cheaper alternative to Procore?
For small and mid-size contractors the realistic alternatives are Buildertrend, Contractor Foreman, Jobber and Jobtable, all of which publish their prices. Jobtable is $59/month for 3 users with additional users at $10/month, covering quotes, scheduling, job costing, change orders, progress billing and daily logs in one plan.
Is Jobtable a replacement for Procore?
Not for a commercial general contractor. Procore does drawing management, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, bid management and subcontractor prequalification that Jobtable does not attempt. Jobtable is a replacement for Procore only in the sense that many small contractors were quoted Procore, could not justify it, and needed something that runs quotes, jobs, costs and invoices without an enterprise implementation.
Can I move my data from Procore to Jobtable?
Yes, and Jobtable does the migration for you at no charge. Clients, quotes, jobs and invoices are imported, including the line items inside them. You pull the exports out of Procore, send them over, and Jobtable loads everything into your account for you to check. Drawings, RFI history and submittal records do not have an equivalent in Jobtable, so plan to archive those separately before your Procore contract ends.
Does Procore offer a free trial?
Procore does not offer a standard free trial the way self-serve products do. It offers a limited free account in the US and Canada, and evaluation normally runs through a sales process and a demo. Jobtable offers 14 days free with no credit card and no contract.
