Housecall Pro Pricing in 2026: Plans, Costs and Per-User Fees

Last updated 1 September 2026. Every figure below was read directly from housecallpro.com/pricing on that date, using the team size selector to reveal each plan. All prices in USD.

Housecall Pro publishes three plans. Basic is $79/month ($59 billed annually) for one user. Essentials is $189/month ($149 annually) and includes five users. Max is $329/month ($299 annually) and includes eight users. Additional users cost $100/month each on Essentials and $75/month each on Max. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card required and no permanently free plan.

What most articles get wrong about Housecall Pro's per-user cost

Search for Housecall Pro pricing and you will repeatedly find additional users quoted at $35 per month. Several of those pages present it as Housecall Pro's published figure.

Housecall Pro's own pricing page states $100 per month for each user beyond the five included in Essentials, and $75 per month for each user beyond the eight in Max. That is a difference of nearly three times, and it changes the answer for any business with more than five people.

We think the reason the error spread is mechanical rather than dishonest. The per-user figures only appear once you work through the team size selector on the plan cards, and a page written from other pages will never surface them. Check it yourself before budgeting.

How much does Housecall Pro cost for a crew?

The published entry price applies to one user. Because Basic does not offer additional seats, the second person on your team moves you to Essentials. This is what each crew size costs on the cheapest available route.

Cheapest Housecall Pro configuration by crew size, September 2026.
Crew sizeCheapest planBilled monthlyBilled annually
1Basic$79$59
2 to 5Essentials$189$149
6Essentials plus 1 user$289$249
7Max$329$299
8Max$329$299
10Max plus 2 users$479$449
12Max plus 4 users$629$599
15Max plus 7 users$854$824

The seventh user is a plan change, not an add-on

This is the part worth knowing before you hire. At six people, staying on Essentials and adding one seat costs $289 and beats Max. At seven people, two extra Essentials seats cost $200 on top of $189, which is $389, while Max is $329 and includes eight users.

So the seventh person is the point where you should move to Max rather than add another seat. If you are on Essentials paying for two additional users, you are paying $60 a month more than you need to, and Housecall Pro will not move you automatically.

Housecall Pro publishes its additional-user fees as flat monthly figures without a separate annual rate, so the same $100 and $75 have been applied to both columns above.

What each plan includes

Housecall Pro's published plan features, in its own terms:

Plan features as listed on the Housecall Pro plan cards, 1 September 2026.
PlanWhat it adds
BasicOnline booking from Google or your website, scheduling and dispatch, quotes and estimates, invoices and payments
EssentialsEverything in Basic, plus routes, flat-rate pricing, checklist automations, photo reports and annotations, employee GPS tracking, commissions, and QuickBooks Online sync
MaxEverything in Essentials, plus the sales proposal tool, which Housecall Pro lists at a $40/month value

Two things worth flagging for anyone comparing plans. QuickBooks Online sync starts at Essentials, so a solo operator on Basic does not get it. Employee GPS tracking also starts at Essentials, which is usually the reason a service business moves up rather than the price.

What is included in every plan

  • Live phone and chat support
  • Free mobile app for iOS and Android
  • Offline viewing
  • App available in English and Spanish
  • Access to business and consumer financing
  • Card processing rates as low as 2.59%
  • AI team members to automate work

Payment processing and other costs

Housecall Pro advertises card processing rates as low as 2.59%, which sits alongside the subscription rather than inside it. On a business turning over meaningful card volume, processing can exceed the software cost, so it is worth modelling against whatever you pay today before treating the subscription as the whole number.

The sales proposal tool is bundled into Max at a stated $40/month value rather than sold separately. Housecall Pro also markets payroll, a CSR AI product and a lead pipeline tool alongside the plans.

Is there a free trial or a free plan?

There is a 14-day free trial, with no credit card required, and Housecall Pro states you can cancel anytime. There is no permanently free tier. Annual billing is a prepayment that discounts each plan rather than a multi-year lock-in.

Is Housecall Pro worth the money?

That depends on the shape of your work rather than the size of the bill. Housecall Pro is built for home service businesses running scheduled visits, and for that it is a strong product with a large customer base behind it. Customer-facing online booking from Basic and employee GPS tracking from Essentials are the two features that most often justify the cost on their own.

Where contractors tend to reconsider is at the sixth and seventh employee, where the per-seat cost starts moving in $100 steps, and on staged construction jobs, where progress draws, change orders and daily logs are not what the product is shaped around.

Housecall Pro alternatives

Contractors comparing on price generally look at Jobber, Workiz, FieldPulse and Jobtable. We build Jobtable, so treat this section accordingly: it is $59/month for three users with additional users at $10/month, and it is built for construction and trades running multi-stage jobs rather than home service visits. At six people that is $89/month against $289.

Whether that trade makes sense depends on what you need. Housecall Pro publishes customer-facing online booking that Jobtable does not offer, and tracks employees on a live map through the day, where Jobtable records GPS location at clock-in and clock-out only. Our full Jobtable and Housecall Pro comparison goes through the feature differences and says where Housecall Pro is the better choice.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Housecall Pro cost per month?

Housecall Pro has three published plans. Basic is $79/month billed monthly or $59/month billed annually, and covers one user. Essentials is $189/month monthly or $149/month annually with five users included. Max is $329/month monthly or $299/month annually with eight users included. Figures read from housecallpro.com/pricing on 1 September 2026.

How much does Housecall Pro charge for additional users?

Housecall Pro's pricing page lists additional users at $100/month each beyond the five included in Essentials, and $75/month each beyond the eight included in Max. Many third-party articles state $35 per user, which does not match what Housecall Pro publishes. The Basic plan covers one user and does not offer additional seats.

What is the cheapest Housecall Pro plan for a crew?

For two to five people, Essentials at $189/month monthly is the cheapest option, because Basic covers one user only. For six people, Essentials plus one additional user is $289. From seven people upward, Max at $329/month becomes cheaper than staying on Essentials and adding seats, because two extra Essentials users cost $200 while Max includes eight.

Does Housecall Pro have a free trial or a free plan?

Housecall Pro offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and states that you can cancel anytime. There is no permanently free plan. The Max plan is presented with a Book Demo action rather than a direct signup.

Does Housecall Pro require a contract?

Housecall Pro sells month-to-month and annual billing, with annual prepay discounting each plan. Its pricing page addresses contract commitments directly in its FAQ and promotes the trial as cancel anytime. Annual billing is a prepayment rather than a multi-year commitment.

What is included in every Housecall Pro plan?

Housecall Pro lists live phone and chat support, a free mobile app for iOS and Android, offline viewing, the app in English and Spanish, access to business and consumer financing, card processing rates as low as 2.59%, and AI team members as included across all plans.

What are the cheaper alternatives to Housecall Pro?

Contractors comparing on price usually look at Jobber, Workiz, FieldPulse and Jobtable. Jobtable publishes $59/month for three users, or $600/year, with additional users at $10/month. The gap is largest at the point where a crew grows. Whether it is the right fit depends on whether your work is service visits or staged construction jobs, since Housecall Pro includes customer-facing online booking that Jobtable does not offer, and tracks techs on a live map through the day, where Jobtable records GPS location at clock-in and clock-out only.

Sources and method. All Housecall Pro plan names, prices, included user counts, additional-user fees and plan features on this page were read from housecallpro.com/pricing on 1 September 2026, working through the industry and team size selector to reveal each plan card. Crew-size costs are calculated from those published figures. No figure here is estimated or taken from a third party.

Who wrote this. Jobtable makes construction job management software that competes with Housecall Pro. We have kept this page to what Housecall Pro publishes, with the source and date attached, because a pricing page that shades the numbers is no use to you and no use to us. Prices change. Check both pricing pages before you commit.
